Experience Indigenous Creativity through the art, music, and dance of Latine communities, and enjoy the sculptural words of one of America’s most renowned artists in Bob Haozous: A Retrospective View. Event Schedule Gates Open 9:30 am Book Reading & Signing 10:00 am – 12:00 pm | Steele Auditorium Listen to Nana Lupita and the Magic Sopita by Felicia Cocotzin Ruiz, followed by a fun frog search around the museum! Folklórico Dance Performance 10:30 – 11:00 am & 1:15 – 1:45 pm | Steele Auditorium Watch a lively folklórico dance performance celebrating Latine culture. Guided Family Tours 11:15 – 11:45 am & 1:00 – 1:30 pm | Meet at the Info Desk Enjoy a 30-minute docent-led tour presented for all ages. Youth Orchestra Performance from Harmony Project 11:15 – 11:45 am & 2:30 – 3:15 pm | Crossroads Gallery Enjoy performances from four youth orchestra groups, including a Children’s Mariachi. Papel Picado Tote Bags All Day (while supplies last) | Steele Auditorium Design your own tote bag with colorful papel picado patterns — a traditional Mexican craft. Community Coloring: Ozone Madonna All Day | Outside the Heardlings Family Activity Room Help color a giant Ozone Madonna by Bob Haozous and contribute to a community artwork.
