SNOW DAY “Arizona Style”
Who says you need cold weather for a snow day? North Scottsdale United Methodist Church invites families and the community to experience SNOW DAY “Arizona Style” at Sunday Snow Day on Sunday, January 25, at 11:00 a.m., located at 11735 N. Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85254.
Families will enjoy the wonder and excitement of winter fun brought to life with a snow machine, snow forts complete with snowballs, and hands-on activities including polymer snow experiments that spark curiosity and creativity. Children will also create their own one-of-a-kind snowflakes, a meaningful reminder that everyone is uniquely made and wonderfully created by God.
Grounded in Lamentations 3:22–23, which celebrates God’s love and faithfulness that greet us each morning, Sunday Snow Day reflects the United Methodist understanding of grace that meets us before we even know we need it. “In the Methodist tradition, we believe God’s grace is always at work—inviting, renewing, and shaping us for love,” said Pastor Leah of North Scottsdale UMC. “Fresh snow is a beautiful symbol of that grace—covering us in possibility and reminding us that God delights in offering new beginnings. Through joyful play and creativity, we hope children experience God’s love as something active, welcoming, and wonderfully alive.”
Sunday Snow Day is open to the community and designed to be a fun, faith-filled gathering for families looking to connect, celebrate, and start the year with joy.
North Scottsdale United Methodist Church celebrates the love of God through Christ by offering a 10AM online and in-person service on Sunday. Sunday school is available in-person and online @ www.nsumckids.info. They have children and youth activities including; children’s choir, mission trips, small groups, festivals and youth groups. N.S.U.M.C. also offers online and in-person adult Bible studies, men and women’s groups.
