The “In a New Light” installation at The Arsenal consists of two dozen color, enlarged prints capturing visual elements of Historic New Castle. “In a New Light” runs from October 25 through November 20, 2024.
About the book
Within Walking Distance: Historic New Castle is a full-color, 172 page hardback book containing over 350 photographs taken over a five-year period from 2019 through 2024. Historic New Castle is where William Penn first set foot upon American soil in 1682. But this unique river town is not solely defined by its distant past. Its streets, alleys, and pathways are vibrant with color and new sights waiting to be discovered. Its stage is set by hundreds of years of buildings that escaped destruction by impulsive developers, lending the town the feel of an architectural kaleidoscope. That setting is now flavored by events, characters, and expansive natural beauty, all unforgettably depicted in Within Walking Distance: Historic New Castle.
