Mr. Barto will share Wesley’s faith in God, especially including recounting a dramatic childhood event when he almost died in a house fire at the age of 5, and later when he feared for his life as his ship crossed the Atlantic Ocean, heading for America. Mr. Barto has visited John Wesley's birthplace in Epworth, England, and has "followed" the life trail of the minister throughout England, and has been to Savannah, Georgia.
Admission is $10 per person ($12 at the door). Online Registration is available by going to https://williamtennenthouse.org/ and clicking on “News and Events”. Registration can also be made by check payable to William Tennent House Association and mailed to P.O. Box 2572, Warminster, PA 18974 along with your name, contact information and number of seats. Refreshments will be served.
David Barto is a retired English teacher of 41 years. He taught high school for 25 years for the Pennsbury School District in Pennsylvania, then taught at UNLV (University Nevada at Las Vegas) and CSN (College of Southern Nevada) for 16 years. He is a graduate of Pennsbury High School. From Grove City College, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Communicative Arts, and holds two Master Degrees, one in Education and one in Arts, both from the College of New Jersey.
Event proceeds benefit the preservation of the William Tennent House.
