Judy Giesberg, PhD, Robert M. Birmingham Endowed Chair in Humanities and professor of History at Villanova University, will give a book talk on Sunday, Jan. 26 at 11:00 a.m. at Mother Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, hosted by the Mother Bethel Historical Society. Dr. Giesberg will discuss her new book set to publish in February, “Last Seen: The Enduring Search by Formerly Enslaved People to Find Their Lost Families,” with facilitators 53rd Pastor of Mother Bethel AME Church the Rev. Carolyn Cavaness, and Mother Bethel Church Archivist, Margaret Jerrido. This event is co-sponsored by Villanova University’s Albert Lepage Center for History in the Public Interest.
