Workshop | Festive Family Felting Workshop
Join us for a delightful family-friendly felting workshop where creativity meets Christmas cheer! Under the guidance of skilled felting instructor, Eva Mergen, participants will create beautiful Nativity-themed felted art pieces. All materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary. Perfect for all ages, this workshop is a wonderful way to get into the holiday spirit!
Access to Glencairn’s first floor World Nativities exhibition and seek & find interactive are included in the $15 fee.
Note: This workshop is geared towards children ages 5 and older, and their grownups. We are hoping that grownups and kids will take this opportunity to participate together! This is not a drop-off event. For children ages 5–10, a grownup must register to participate in the workshop. For children ages 11–17, a grownup must remain on-site, but may choose to enjoy the first floor of the Museum for a fee of $5. During registration, please note the age of the child/ren attending. The $5 fee for first-floor access can be made on the day by cash or credit.
About the instructor:
Eva Mergen has been a craft and handwork instructor for children and adults for the last 15 years. She has spent most of her life learning a variety of textile techniques and particularly enjoys spinning, weaving, felting, embroidery, and hand sewing. She believes the need to create beauty is innate to everyone and has been a driving force since the beginning of humanity. She also believes that everyone can learn to be creative.
