The Creative Genes Panel Discussion
Join us as we share insightful perspectives first hand with 4 of The Creative Genes Exhibition Artists, Constance McBride, Bernadette McBride, Carl Wagner and Kenoka Wagner. We will discuss nature vs nurture in regard to creative lineage and how creativity may be passed down through chromosomes and DNA depending on one's environment. Moderated by Exhibition Curator Clifford Eberly, he will be joined by contributing writer Mary Jo Jerome and Claudia Volpe, Director of the Petrucci Family Foundation Collection of African American Art. PFFCAA has loaned three works of art by Betye, Lezley and Alison Saar to the exhibition. The Creative Genes is on view at Hicks Art Center Gallery through February 28, 2026. Gallery Hours are Tuesday - Friday 9 am - 5 pm and Saturday Noon - 4 pm.
