STAGE AURORA ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR
THE WIZ (TYA)
JACKSONVILLE, Fl.— Stage Aurora Theatrical Company’s 100 Youth Voices holds auditions
for “The Wiz” (TYA). Come with us as we Ease on Down the Road in this Tony-award winning
iconic musical. Auditions take place on July 18th, 19th, 25th and 26th. Saturday auditions will be
from 1pm to 3pm and Sunday auditions from 3pm to 6pm, all at First United Methodist Church,
225 E. Duval St., Jacksonville, FL 32202.
If you are a great singer, dancer, or beginner, between the ages 8 to 19, we’d love to see you
audition for the cast. All roles are available! Winner of 7 Tony awards, The Wiz first appeared on
Broadway in 1974 and was written by William F. Brown with Music and Lyrics by Charles
Smalls.
This beloved Broadway musical sets Dorothy’s adventures in the Land of Oz to a

To audition, please prepare a song of your choice that best shows off your voice. Dancers may
prepare a dance routine. Please bring your own music/track. “The Wiz.” (TYA) will be presented
on Saturday September 26, 2026.
The musical will be directed by Dr. Darryl Reuben Hall. Stage Aurora’s General Company
Manager is Dolores Hall, Ed.D.
