Ueshiro Shorin-Ryu Karate USA
Learn karate! Ueshiro Shorin-Ryu Karate USA will teach you self-defense, discipline and martial arts history. Under the direction of Hanshi Robert Scaglione, Sensei Matt Reed teaches class at 7 pm Wednesdays and 12 pm Sundays at Wickham Park Community Center, 2815 Leisure Way, Melbourne, Florida. Karate classes are for those ages 6 and up (no age limit), and gives you access to 5 other USRKUSA Florida schools, including Viera, West Melbourne, Merritt Island, Cape Canaveral and Casselberry. We also offer weapons training for the Bo, Kama, Tuifa, Sai and Nunchucks. Workouts include training on the beach, Black Belt classes, advanced training, and test preparation.
Hanshi Robert Scaglione learned from his Sensei, Master Ansei Ueshiro, who brought Shorin-Ryu Karate to the U.S. in September 1962.
