The Journey of a Pastoral Ministry & Hospice Ministry
Our featured guest speaker is Charles Parker, Support Services Manager for Hospice of Health First. In his current role, he manages teams of chaplains, bereavement counselors and volunteer coordinators.
He has also been adjunct faculty of World Religions and Humanities at Eastern Florida State College and Valencia College for the last 20 years.
Charles is a former United Methodist pastor and has also worked in roles in hospitality, aerospace engineering, non-profit management and public education.
He and his wife, Pam have been married for 28 years. She is a former elementary school teacher, proud Gator and does a variety of volunteer work.
They have 3 sons: Zack (married to Bethany, father of Elim), who is a US Navy Chaplain stationed at the Navy Yard in Washington DC; Jake, a supervisor in retail for the Orlando Magic; and Drew, who is a legislative aide for State House Rep. Fiona McFarland of Sarasota. All three boys are graduates of Merritt Island High School.

This event is presented by "Lifting Up Ladies", a ministry to inspire women of all denominations, to grow in community, faith and friendship. Featured guest speakers are designed to inspire and help women grow in faith, as well as learning new skills and an opportunity for socializing. Lifting Up Ladies is an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) organization.
