How do you recognize depression and how do you help a loved one who is struggling with depression? Mental Health Counselor Rebekah Morin will discuss this topic including the signs to recognize it and positive ways to intervene. This presentation will also heighten your awareness of who could be at risk for suicide, ways to be proactive in your community (prevention) and what to do if you or a friend are experiencing suicidal thoughts.
Rebekah Morin is a registered marriage and family intern and registered mental health counseling intern. She received her master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from Palm Beach Atlantic University and holds a certification in Play Therapy. Rebekah’s years in the field of education contribute to her second career of counseling.
Rebekah is native to Central Florida and is the daughter of missionaries. Faith in God and love for His Word are an integral part of her life. She came to faith in Jesus Christ when she was a child. She is mother of three grown children. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, photography, walking, and a day at the beach.
