Anyone born after January 1, 1988 and operating a power boat in Florida is required to take a boating safety class and to carry their Boater Education ID Card issued by Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).
The class will include basic operating skills, navigation rules, Florida laws and handling emergencies.
