Quilted Planet by Omaha Modern Quilt Guild

Omaha Modern Quilt Guild (OMQG) exhibition’s “Quilted Planet” will showcase various forms of modern quilting using original and interpreted modern quilt designs created by members of the OMQG. In addition, special projects by the guild such as various artist-led workshop creations, block of the month quilts, etc., will be featured. Over 50 quilts will be on display. A challenge category to highlight the theme “Quilted Planet” will feature quilts that celebrate our commonality or our diversity or represent inclusion; explore the quilting traditions of a culture or country; or the quilt artist’s interpretation of “Quilted Planet.” Raffle tickets for a quilt created by the guild will be available. Guild members will staff the event to personally interact, share our craft with visitors and further the education and visibility of modern quilting. Visitors will be invited to participate in voting for a “viewer’s choice” quilt from the exhibition. Admission is free!
