Workshop Kite Making Workshop
Spring is the perfect time to fly a kite! Sign up for a kite-making workshop at the Treehouse Classroom on Free Park Entry Day at Nebraska Game and Parks. Dominique Ellis with the Center for Great Plains Studies and Great Plains Art Museum will lead this hands-on, kid-friendly workshop. We’ll start with a short presentation about the rich cultural history of kites, look at some Nebraska birds for inspiration, and then dive into constructing and decorating your own bird kite to take home.
This workshop is limited to 25 kite makers. While all ages are welcome, kite construction is best accomplished by ages 8+.
