Walter Scott, Jr. 2025 Citizen of the Year
NU President Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D. Dr. Gold will be recognized live onstage Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at the Holland Performing Arts Center in Downtown Omaha for his community leadership, outstanding accomplishments, and philanthropic devotion to youth.
Guests can register to attend or sponsor the award showcase by visiting MACscouts.org/COY. May 21st attendees can arrive anytime between 6 pm and 7 pm for the pre-event social in the First National Bank of Omaha lobby. The program and meal in the Scott Hall will begin at 7 pm with Scouting announcements delivered at 8:30 pm to close out the agenda.
Attendees can choose from various seating and table sponsorship packages. All contributions directly benefit local Scouts in Scouting America, Mid-America Council, which serves 102 counties across Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota, and are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Scouting America, formerly Boy Scouts of America, was founded in 1910 and is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Feb. 8, 2025 marks Scouting’s 115th anniversary.
