Join former Council Bluffs native, Daniel Henderson as he shares his latest book, Rhythm & Pep: The Vaudeville Career of the Pearson Brothers. It is the true story of two coal miners from Clarinda, Iowa, who left mining behind to seek fame on the vaudeville stage in the 1920s. They succeeded beyond their wildest dreams and performed for 30 years in theatres coast to coast.
This presentation is about Iowa history, historical narrative, and a personal account the Pearsons. Henderson inherited their scapbook that recounts their rise to fame and is a never-before-told story.
