OkcBallet Presents: The Nutcracker
Artistic Director Ryan Jolicoeur-Nye’s production of The Nutcracker for Oklahoma City Ballet is a vibrant reimagining of the holiday classic that blends traditional magic with fresh, whimsical twists. Debuting to rave reviews in 2024, this lavish production features challenging choreography, cinematic sets, and over 195 handcrafted costumes designed by some of the industry’s top artisans.
ACCOMMODATIONS FOR THESE PERFORMANCES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
Adjusted lighting and sound
Lower sound levels throughout the performance
A reduction of strobe lighting and lighting focused on the audience
House lights will remain on (at a low level) in the theatre auditorium during the performance
No live orchestra
No pyrotechnics
RELAXED THEATER RULES:
Guests are free to talk, leave their seats, and move freely during the performance
We will offer a designated safe/quiet area within the lobby with fidgets and earplugs available
Allowed use of iPads and other electronics for therapeutic uses
