Sordid Lives by Del Shores
CST takes audiences south of the Red River July 10-26, 2026 with a reprise of “Sordid Lives” by Del Shores who calls it a black comedy about white trash! During it’s long run in Los Angeles, it was nominated for over thirty awards. In small-town Winters, Texas, chaos erupts when the family matriarch dies in a scandalous manner. A whirlwind of family drama and secrets rush to the surface as they gather for her funeral. The play includes themes of unconditional love, “coming out,” bigotry, and forgiveness, all presented in a comedic, irreverent tone. “Sordid Lives” has gained cult classic status, was adapted into a film and television series, and even has a film sequel.
