Rail Heritage Program: The Norge Caboose
Partners: William Fox of the Norge Depot Association and Lee Hall Train Station Foundation
Local Historian and Author William Fox will share how the Norge Depot Association acquired, moved and restored a 1925 Georgia caboose (GA 2875) to the Norge Depot museum campus in James City County between 2015-2025. The tale follows a similar thread to that of the Lee Hall Depot's Chessie System caboose. You'll learn how these two nonprofit sister organizations tackled logistical problems, raised money and ultimately achieved success.
