The Chrysler Museum of Art announces an unforgettable week of entertainment and culture with three big events from November 20-24. From the soul-stirring sounds of Louisiana phenomenon T’Monde to the modern funk aesthetic of Cedric Mitchell and the high-volume energy of IgNITE, there is something for everyone at the Chrysler Museum located at One Memorial Place, Norfolk.
World Beats Concert Series featuring T’Monde
Wednesday, November 20, 7–9 p.m.
Inspired by the exhibition Farm to Table: Art, Food, and Identity in the Age of Impressionism, World Beats is a kaleidoscope of music and culture exploring the legacies of songs with French influences paired with curated wine and food experiences.
The Chrysler Museum is bringing the bayou to Norfolk with the sounds of T’Monde who Offbeat Magazine called “a creative fusion of classic country and out-of-the-way Cajun.” With a combined 10 Grammy nominations between its members, T’Monde will transport visitors to a world where the accordions wail and fiddles sing. Wine and chocolate are available for purchase.
