Join us for the Tide’s Birthday, August 19
Tidewater Transit Advocacy (TTA) will be hosting a festive joyride to celebrate the Tide light rail service’s 15th birthday on August 19. The public is welcome to attend. Celebrants are invited to meet at the Newtown Road station near Virginia Beach at 1 p.m. Organizers plan to ride the Tide round trip to Eastern Virginia Medical Center and back. A round trip fare costs $4.00, and contactless payment options are available. Free parking is also available at Newtown Road.
TTA is “a local community organization that advocates for improved public transit in Hampton Roads.”
