Known for her eclectic blend of West African, South American, and jazz influences, her music strikes a captivating balance between improvisation and composition.
Martha Kato’s debut album, Tales from The Trees (2016), was lauded by Jazz Life magazine, and her long-anticipated second album Solúna was released worldwide in 2023. As an award-winning artist, Martha has received the ASCAP Foundation Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Award and has contributed to Grammy-nominated projects, showcasing her versatile talent in big bands and smaller ensembles alike.
