Known for his striking versatility on both tenor sax and flute, Tabackin has worked alongside jazz legends like Elvin Jones, Clark Terry, and Toshiko Akiyoshi, with whom he co-led the renowned Toshiko Akiyoshi-Lew Tabackin Big Band.
Tabackin’s lyrical, impressionistic flute playing, and his fiery, bold tenor saxophone performances have garnered him acclaim as one of jazz’s most distinctive voices.
