Harmonic Threads

Harmonic Threads explores music beyond genre, focusing instead on the emotions that sound evokes and how those feelings translate into fashion. Through silhouette, texture, color, and movement, the exhibition invites viewers to consider how emotional experiences—fleeting, layered, or contradictory—can be materialized on the body. A total of 236 students are participating in this exhibition, in addition to 22 students in the Art specialization. Eleven critic award winners will be selected along with another 35 garments to be displayed, with two critic award winners selected from Fashion Art. Collaborators: Ethan Minsker, Professor Film & Media Students Benjamin Tarace and Candance Cooper produced a short film about the connection between music and emotion, which will be on display.
