Carlota is a new musical by Goat in the Road that tells the story of the extraordinary life and legacy of Carlota Ruíz de González, a fictional character rooted in Cuban and New Orleans history. Under the musical direction of Dr. Denise Frazier, Peter J Bowling, and award-winning powerhouse musician Yusa, Carlota transports audiences on a journey through time, where 19th and 20th century stories are interwoven with AfroCuban and Creole rhythms.
Carlota is performed in both English and Spanish. There are supertitles for both languages througout. The show is 2.5 hours long with an intermission.
