Founded in 2022 in New York City, The Yacht Lobsters deliver a smooth, sun-soaked celebration of the butteriest soft rock from the ’70s and early ’80s. Drawing inspiration from legendary artists like Steely Dan, The Doobie Brothers, Hall & Oates, and Toto, the band recreates and sometimes reimagines the pristine studio sound that defined the era.
Expect a breezy yacht rock vibe you know and love, elevated by stellar lead vocals, a full horn section, and subtle infusions of New Orleans funk, classic rock energy, and jazz improvisation. The result? A lively, polished, and undeniably festive experience that keeps the groove bouncy and the boat a-rockin’. The set even includes a tasteful splash of original music that sounds like it drifted straight out of 1978.
Founded by the creative force behind Brother Joscephus and the Love Revolution, The Yacht Lobsters are made up of NYC’s finest professional musicians - many of whom have been playing together for decades.
