Two beloved institutions, Branford Townhouse Restaurant and the Community Dining Room, are joining forces for a special Dine to Donate: Knight Out event on Thursday, April 10. This evening of dining and giving back will commemorate Branford Townhouse’s 35th anniversary and the Community Dining Room’s 40th anniversary, bringing together local supporters, alumni, and the greater Branford community for a worthy cause.
The Community Dining Room has been partnering with local community-oriented restaurants for Dine To Donate events, a portion of each check is donated back to the Community Dining Room to help their mission of feeding meals to the Shoreline Community in need.
Branford Townhouse is a family-owned and operated business with a history of giving back. In addition to supporting the Community Dining Room with Dine To Donate events, they have hosted a happy hour for The Great Give, and supported the Community Dinners On The Green Program. Townhouse has been working for years with the Access Transition Program in Branford and is a staunch supporter of Connecticut Hospice.
Adding a unique connection to this event, Patrick Hackett from the Community Dining Room and Nontas Groumousas, one of the owners of Branford Townhouse are alumni of Notre Dame High School in West Haven, and they are calling on fellow Notre Dame alumni and supporters to turn out for this special evening of community spirit and generosity. Co-owner Tim Arvanitidis said, “No matter where I worked in my career, I saw how important it was to give back and be part of the community.”
“We are thrilled to celebrate these milestone anniversaries together while giving back to those in need,” said Patrick Hackett, Fundraising Coordinator. “This event is a great way for alumni, locals, and friends of both organizations to come together and make a real impact.”
