Dialogue Vanderbilt to Host Ronald Reagan Debate Series Competition at Vanderbilt University
Dialogue Vanderbilt will host the Tennessee Regional Invitational of the Ronald Reagan Debate Series at Vanderbilt University on Saturday, April 11, 2026, beginning at 8:00 a.m. CT.
Part of a regional competition presented in partnership with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute, the one-day event will bring together up to 100 high school students (grades 9–12) from across the Southeast to compete for scholarship awards, cash prizes, and a chance to advance to the National Championship.
Designed for all experience levels, the program focuses on real-world issues, communication skills, and leadership development. This year’s debate topic explores whether the Electoral College should be replaced by the popular vote as the United States approaches its 250th anniversary.
Registration is open through April 6 at 6:00 p.m. CT. Students must be registered by a parent or coach through the National Speech & Debate Association.
The event is open to the public for those interested in attending and observing the debates.
