Lunar New Year Lantern Fest with Chef Christine Lau at the Icehouse
Join James Beard semifinalist Chef Christine Lau at Turkey and the Wolf Icehouse for a Pre-Lantern Festival celebration on Sunday, March 1, honoring Lunar New Year in partnership with sponsor Alaska Seafood. Raised in Oakland, CA by parents who emigrated from Hong Kong, Lau’s Chinese American cuisine is shaped by her Bay Area upbringing and her years working in New York City. The collaboration menu features Chef Lau and the Icehouse teams’ inventive take on the holiday with dishes like Char Siu Sablefish Sandwiches, Alaska Escabeche, Crab Rangoon Uncrustables, Scallion Pancake Calzones, King Crab Egg Drop Soup, and Pork Belly Rice Bowls, plus more. For dessert, don’t miss the Crispy Rice Cream Sandwich with Caramel Soy Sauce. This special menu is available for one day only, starting at 11 a.m. and running while supplies last.
