RePublic Schools Mistletoe Marketplace
RePublic Schools, a network of schools dedicated to reimagining public education in the South, invites the Nashville community to experience the joy of the season at its inaugural RePublic Schools Mistletoe Marketplace, a free holiday festival celebrating scholar entrepreneurship and family belonging on Friday, December 12, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m hosted at RePublic High School.
This vibrant holiday festival embodies the network's core tenets of Love, Achievement, and Belonging. The event will feature vendor booths run by scholar-entrepreneurs and their families, offering unique gifts, crafts, and baked goods. RePublic Schools Mistletoe Marketplace's mission is twofold: to showcase student achievement and to make a tangible impact on the community through a charitable drive. Attendees of the event will have full access to coats donated by local organizations and businesses, as well as a fully stocked food pantry in time for the holidays.
“RePublic Schools Mistletoe Marketplace is a living example of our core beliefs in action,” says Dr. Jasmine Thornton, Chief Scholar and Family Experience Officer at RePublic Schools. “It’s born from a foundation of Love, creating a safe, joyful space for our families. It celebrates Achievement by showcasing the entrepreneurial and artistic skills our scholars are building. And it deepens our Belonging by connecting our entire community. We can’t wait for our neighbors to see our students shine.”
Event highlights for media photo and video opportunities include:
Scholar Entrepreneurship: Student-run vendor booths selling handmade holiday gifts, demonstrating real-world business and financial skills.
Community Giving Drive: Powerful visuals of attendees accessing coats and food, with students actively sorting contributions.
Family Fun: Hands-on activities and festive photo opportunities that reflect the school's welcoming environment.
