Indigo Roots: A Night of Progressive Bluegrass in Franklin, Tennessee
When three siblings come together to create music, it’s bound to be something special. And when those siblings happen to be musicians with a deep understanding and appreciation of bluegrass, magic happens. Indigo Roots, a talented bluegrass band, brings the perfect blend of tradition and innovation to their performances. On November 10th at 7 PM, you can experience their unique sound live at The Mockingbird Theater in Franklin—a night you won’t want to miss.
Indigo Roots is a band of three siblings—Bethany, Victoria and Daniel—along with a seasoned Nashville guitarist. Their instruments are mandolin, fiddle and bass.
Together, they’ve formed a dynamic ensemble that is equal parts homage to bluegrass history and a forward-thinking exploration of where the genre can go. Their music draws inspiration the likes of artists such as The Punch Brothers, Sierra Hull, and Molly Tuttle.
The lead singer Victoria, has a distinctive soulful sound that stretches far beyond what the bounds of grass music can hold. Closing your eyes and listening to her sing is like listening to Aretha Franklin, Etta James, or soul singers akin.
"We are excited to play at The Mockingbird Theater," Victoria says. "We live in the area, so it will be fun to gather for a night and experience live music with people who love bluegrass as much as we do."
