Andy Griggs is set to perform at Harken Hall with special guests Messyboyz on Saturday, July 25 at 7:00 p.m.
Andy Griggs often says his influences in music are like a pot of gumbo. Growing up in Monroe. LA, he was raised listening to Jerry Lee Lewis, Jimmy Swaggart, Waylon Jennings and Bill Monroe. He took that hardcore blues and rock ‘n roll and sprinkled it with a touch of jazz. He says, “There is no defining a style of song. As long as there’s soul, it has a place in music.
Griggs has had 13 singles and six Top 10’s on the Billboard country chart: 3 #1’s including “Bluegrass #1 Georgia Peach” with Larry Sparks, “You Won’t Ever Be Lonely,” and “She’s More.”
Griggs is one of the greatest at being an adverse country, blues, gospel and bluegrass singer.
Messyboyz, led by dynamic frontmen Les Richardson and Dallas Hendrix, are a high-energy country/rock/pop band known for their electrifying performances and crowd involvement.
