The Guests:
John Stone
During a career spanning over two decades in America’s country music capital, Nashville, Stone can recall countless highlights, including entertaining world leaders at the White House Christmas party – and performing 9 times for a former President of the United States.
Stone was a resident of Kid Rock’s Chillin’ the Most Cruise, where he has performed to a cruise-ship full of music-loving fans for 10 years running and was the only artist invited back all 10 times. When not touring, Stone was a staple and the top act at the World Famous Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge for 16 years. Now, he and the Trailer Park All-Stars have been at Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk & Rock ‘n’ Roll Steakhouse. In Nashville, he is known as “The King of Lower Broadway” as he is well-known for being one of the best Honky Tonk performers and entertainers around.
After making his Australian debut in 2008 at the Tamworth Music Festival in Tamworth AUS , the demand for John and the Trailer Park All-Stars to perform in Australia has been overwhelming. Fans were amazed not only by what was seen on stage but also the entire band’s engagement with festival goers in and around the campsites and festival grounds. Stone returned by popular demand, performing sold out shows at Tamworth Country Music Festival, and throughout Queensland and New South Whales John and the Trailer Park All-Stars also played the Gympie Music Muster that same year where they closed the festival, performing to an overflowing venue. Stone decided to record the music video for his single ‘Please Please’ at this performance which made the Top 20 Country Airplay Charts at the time. Australian fans just can’t seem to get enough, with Stone headlining the 2015 Plantation Music Festival and performing at the 35th anniversary of the Gympie Music Muster in 2016.
Prior to realizing his childhood dream of becoming a singer/songwriter, Stone spent eight years in the Alabama National Guard as a gunner on an M-1 Tank. He served during Desert Shield and Desert Storm, an experience he says has given him the resilience and determination needed to forge a successful career in the music industry.Having picked up the guitar at the age of six, the multi-talented and self-taught singer/songwriter also plays the bass, drums, harmonica and piano. At any live performance, Stone draws upon all of his musical talent to deliver what he is best known for – energetic, crowd-pleasing performances that leave his audiences wanting more.
Silas Frayser
Silas Frayser is a rising musician from Batesville, Virginia, whose passion for music was sparked at a young age and has only grown stronger with time. Raised in a small, tight-knit community, Silas’ early memories are filled with the sounds of his father playing guitar. It was during these formative years that Silas picked up the instrument himself, starting with simple chords and melodies before delving deeper into the world of songwriting and performance.
Growing up, Silas was heavily influenced by the music around him. His dad’s influence was pivotal, but the sounds of classic rock, jam bands, and the unique blend of folk and Americana that defined the ‘90s also shaped his musical identity. Bands like the Grateful Dead and the Dave Matthews Band were staples in the Frayser household, laying the groundwork for Silas’ love for extended jams.
Now, as he records and releases new music, Silas Frayser blends his deep love for jam bands with modern country influences and a laid-back, acoustic feel. His music is defined by its warmth, storytelling, and authenticity, incorporating elements of classic rock and folk with the easy-listening vibes of contemporary acoustic music. His live performances are a reflection of his musical journey—rooted in the freedom and energy of his jam band inspirations, yet firmly grounded in the accessible and emotional sound of modern country music.
