Fandango: Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month
For the first time in history, the Tecula Community Theater will showcase a cultural program celebrating Hispanic culture with a Fandango, an African-derived term referring to a musical fiesta. Led by Libby and Cindy Harding, Conjunto Jardín is known for its adaptation and inclusion of various South American and Caribbean music and dance genres, making it a true fiesta with the percussive dance of tap-dancer Delilah Vásquez. Furthermore, renowned Peruvian guitar player Ciro Hurtado will open the act and then join the band. This will be a true sound experience that will give you a taste of the complex cultures of Hispanics and their connections to the world.
