St. Paul Ballet Presents Nutcracker: REIMAGINED
St. Paul Ballet (SPB) offers a unique experience that brings the iconic Nutcracker ballet into our contemporary world. This captivating production highlights the Youth Company- SPB's extraordinary pre-professional student performing troupe. Featuring guest showcases by CAAM Chinese Dance Theater and Ethnic Dance Theater, this Nutcracker promises to be a globe jeté-ing adventure.
The enchanting journey begins with a Christmas Eve party where Uncle Drosselmeyer, a gifted toymaker, presents the guests with life-sized dolls and unveils a one-of-a-kind Nutcracker. As the party ends, the magic is just beginning. Suddenly, the audience is swept away to the Kingdom of Sweets where the Sugar Plum Fairy hosts a magical soiree. Strange residents start to gather to celebrate and share their stories with flurries of movement. The party builds and builds until the audience wakes from their dream- just in time for Christmas morning!
