Rosemount Community Band Free Concert with Rosemount High School Wind Ensemble March 8 at 2:00 p.m.


The Rosemount Community Band (RCB) will play their free annual concert with the Rosemount High School (RHS) Wind Ensemble on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rosemount High School Performing Arts Center. The concert is free and open to the public. The annual concert, which celebrates music throughout the ages, provides entertainment for all ages. The RCB, under the direction of Thomas Maeck, will play “March Opus 99” by Sergey Prokofiev, “Play!” by Carl Holmquist, “The Seal Lullaby” by Eric Whitacre, and will conclude with an exciting transcription of Camille Saint-Saëns’ “Danse Bacchanale”. The RHS Wind Ensemble is led by Band Director Scott Palmer. The all-volunteer RCB, which started in September 2011, is composed of adult musicians from Rosemount, Apple Valley, Eagan and other areas of the south metro. Members range in age from the 20s through the 80s, have various skill levels and all share a love of music and performing for the community. The band's director, Thomas Maeck, has over 40 years of experience in directing both community and high school bands.
