Better Together Film Festival: Free Screening of A Road Trip Across a Divided America

In a cultural moment marked by division and disconnection, churches across Minnesota are coming together to host the Better Together Film Festival, coinciding with the National Week of Conversation from April 21–27. Hosted by the Minnesota Council of Churches, this week-long celebration of true stories aims to inspire curiosity, dialogue, and hope. Five powerful documentaries will be screened at local faith communities, each exploring how everyday people are reaching across lines of difference to strengthen their neighborhoods and our nation. The overlap with the National Week of Conversation underscores the importance of fostering meaningful dialogue and building connections that bridge divides. As part of the series, Oak Grove Presbyterian Church will be hosting the screening of A Road Trip Across a Divided America on Thursday, April 24 at 6:30pm. 🎥 A Road Trip Across a Divided America invites us to see one another more fully and inspires us to rebuild the social fabric in our communities. How did we lose connection with our neighbors—and more importantly, how do we get it back? In this timely documentary, award-winning filmmaker Joseph Sim interviews over 200 strangers on a summer-long road trip across America to explore how everyday people are choosing connection over division. ✅ Free admission 🗣 Optional discussion to follow 👉 All are welcome to attend! Join a screening. Connect with your neighbors. Build a better, more connected future. View all the screenings taking place at https://mnchurches.org/better-together-film-festival
