Good Acoustics – the radio show for musical omnivores on KBEM Jazz88 — has decided to start a regular showcase for the local artists we feature on our program. Come gather at MetroNOME Brewing in Lowertown St. Paul to hear some of the artists whose music we love.
This month we’ll be hearing from:
Dan “Daddy Squeeze” Newton
- Accordion. Songwriting. Excellent sense of humor. Dan can play just about anything and likely will at this showcase! His specialty: poignant, down-to-earth songwriting and accordion virtuosity.
Molly Brandt
- One of the hardest-working Americana songwriters in the Twin Cities, Molly is a highly respected fixture on the local music scene who has garnered well-deserved press and a strong following. Expect soaring vocals and songs that cut to the heart.
Paul Fonfara
- Paul marches to his own clarinet/guitar/saxophone/whatever! His songwriting and compositions range from jazz to indie-rock, all with a touch of improvisation and Balkan sensibilities. Expect a sonic adventure.
