Launch of The Great Park Walk 2026 with Party for the Parks
Celebrate the start of summer with the Saint Paul Parks Conservancy at the 6th Annual Party for the Parks, a free, family-friendly event launching The Great Park Walk 2026.
Enjoy an evening of live entertainment, music, dancing, food, and interactive activities along the Mississippi River. The celebration features performances by Circus Juventas, urban line dancing with Tina and Gotta Dance Soul Line Dancing, music from DJ Glo, and family activities including face painting, art-making, a climbing wall, and games.
Guests can purchase a Boca Chica taco dinner package for $25, while kids under 12 eat free. The event itself is free to attend, and guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets to enjoy the riverfront atmosphere.
The evening will also feature a special performance by Saint Paul theater artist and jazz vocalist Thomasina Petrus debuting an original song honoring Saint Paul parks and recreation volunteers.
Party for the Parks officially kicks off The Great Park Walk 2026, a citywide summer adventure running May 27 through September 30. Using the free Goosechase app, participants can explore Saint Paul parks through interactive missions, photo challenges, fitness activities, and local history experiences while earning points and prizes throughout the summer.
