CMT Zero K Run
The Zero K Run is the race for people who hate running — or at least love to laugh at the idea of it. Taking place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Forgotten Star Brewing Co. in Fridley, Minnesota, this lighthearted event promises all the fun of a traditional race day with none of the actual running.
Instead of pounding the pavement, participants enjoy the full race experience: race packets, bibs, finisher medals, and 0.0 stickers to proudly display. When the starter horn blows at 3:00 p.m., the crowd will briefly stand — and then immediately sit back down, celebrating their “achievement” with laughs, cheers, and good company.
The day is filled with live music from The Sidekicks, delicious food trucks, drinks available for purchase, a silent auction, and family-friendly entertainment. It’s a perfect afternoon to kick back, relax, and enjoy time with friends, family, or coworkers — no running shoes required.
But the event isn’t just about fun; it’s also about making a difference. All proceeds benefit the CMT Research Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to funding research to treat and cure Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) disease. CMT is a hereditary neurological disorder that affects over 3 million people worldwide, leading to muscle weakness, balance issues, and progressive loss of function. Every registration helps fund critical research to improve the lives of those living with this challenging condition.
Registration is just $35 for adults and $20 for youth under 12. Children under 12 who attend without a race packet can come free with an adult registration. Space is limited to just 150 participants, so early sign-up is encouraged.
