The pipa is a Chinese lute, and the WSO is honored to have Gao Hong, an internationally known soloist viewed as one of the world's finest pipa players, as its guest artists for this performance. Rimsky-Korsakov's show stopping Scheherazade may be one of the most impressive pieces the WSO will perform this season - what a wild and exciting way to cap of the 2024-2025 season!
