Original Mattress Factory Bedrace for Bridging
One of Minnesota’s most unique winter traditions returns when the Original Mattress Factory Bedrace for Bridging takes over Buck Hill in Burnsville on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Teams of four race queen mattresses down the tubing hill in a spirited competition that raises funds for Bridging, a local nonprofit serving more than 5,000 families each year as they work toward housing stability.
The event features creative costumes, lively racing, and an après-race celebration with music, s’mores, hot chocolate, a bonfire, a beer garden, and indoor awards and dancing. Trophies and prizes are awarded for fastest teams, best costumes, and top fundraisers, along with a raffle offering more than $13,000 in outdoor furniture from YARDBIRD.
Now in its 28th year, the Bedrace has raised nearly $2 million since 1998. Registration is open at bridging.org/bedrace. Participants must be 18 or older and raise a minimum of $600, with all proceeds benefiting Bridging.
