The Larry McDonough Quintet will scratch the surface of this history with the new show Trumpetocity, featuring Josh May. Most have heard of Bix Beiderbecke and Louis Armstrong, as well as Miles Davis, Chet Baker, and Wynton Marsalis, but have you heard of Don Ellis, Lee Morgan, Freddie Hubbard, Clifford Brown? LMQ will cover the trumpeters you need to know! The first set will focus on Don Ellis from the blizzard cancelled show which would have run in March, including from the award-winning movie The French Connection. The second set will include well-known and lesser know music of Lee Morgan, Freddie Hubbard, Clifford Brown.
