Kids 'n Kinship Youth Mentoring Virtual Information Session
We currently have 47 kids (age 5-16) waiting for a mentor in Dakota County. Our largest demand is for male mentors as more than half of our waitlist are boys. Individuals, couples, and families can become mentors. We ask that you commit 4 hours/month for at least one year as a mentor. We will train and support you every step of the way along the process to becoming matched with a youth in our community.
Mentoring is a critical component in young people’s lives, helping them make the decisions and connections that help them learn and grow. Kids ‘n Kinship mentors consistently provide feedback that, while they started mentoring in order to change a young person’s life, it often ends up changing theirs as well. Mentoring isn’t just about offering guidance, it’s about making a real, lasting difference. Imagine being a part of someone’s growth and helping them discover what’s possible - just by spending a few hours a month with them.
