ACROSS THE UNIVERSE - Movie Party
Jude (Jim Sturgess) is a dock worker from Liverpool who moves to America in hopes of a new beginning. When his path collides with college student Max (Joe Anderson, THE GREY) and Max's younger sister Lucy (Evan Rachel Wood, Westworld), the three souls journey along with an eclectic group of characters on a remarkable journey of transcendental, psychedelic American life that will either change them or change the world around them forever.
A mind-blowing, over-the-top blend of live-action and animation, director Julie Taymor (FRIDA) creates a musical that not only captures the essence of free speech and Vietnam wartime in 1960s America but also weaves a truly powerful love story conceived entirely from totally memorable Beatles songs, with every notable lyric pulsing in and out of the storyline.
