Illustrating Your Discernment Journey: Pathways of Insight
We will use two activities to visualize the discernment journey. Discernment Maps focus on identifying roadblocks, opportunities, and next steps. Shimmer Stories identify stories that allure, or shimmer, for us. Attuning to what shimmers in someone else’s story teaches us about who we are. Retreatants will be guided by the discernment principles of St. Ignatius of Loyola.

About the Facilitator
Liz Angeli is an educator, writer, spiritual director, and retreat leader. As a college professor, Liz teaches Ignatian discernment to students and faculty, and as a spiritual director, she feels especially called to work with LGBTQIA+ seekers. Liz holds a PhD from Purdue University, is a graduate Siena Retreat Center's Spiritual Guidance Training Program, and she is earning her Master of Arts in pastoral counseling at Loyola University Chicago’s Institute of Pastoral Studies.
