Be the Art! Upcycling Clothing into Wearable Art Workshop
Bring your own clothing (shirt, jeans, jacket, etc.) washed and ready to have fun in fashion design by upcycling! Learn a variety of ways to envision your style and make wearable art using a selection of embellishments, fiber, paints, dye discharge (color remover), etc. Materials will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring beads, baubles, bits and pieces, trinkets, memorabilia, fiber, fabric, and/or clothing to use to turn your garment, or a combination of garments, into wearable art. Teenagers 14+ may take most adult classes; some require teacher’s consent.
Online registration closes three business days before class begins. You may also call 262-636-9177 to check for class availability, and to register, Monday through Saturday, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Class held at RAM’s Wustum Museum, 2519 Northwestern Avenue, Racine.
