Plunge into this stunning all-singing, all-dancing, dynamic show! When the citizens of Bikini Bottom discover that a volcano will soon erupt and destroy their humble home, SpongeBob and his friends must come together to save the fate of their undersea world. With lives hanging in the balance and all hope lost, a most unexpected hero rises up. The power of optimism really can save the world! Get ready for new, fun songs including “(Just a) Simple Sponge,” “Super Sea Star Savior,” and “Best Day Ever.” Show Dates and Times: • Friday, February 6 at 6:00 p.m. • Saturday, February 7 at 12:00, 2:00, & 4:00 p.m. • Sunday, February 8 at 12:00, 2:00, & 4:00 p.m. Based on the series by Stephen Hillenburg, book by Kyle Jarrow, musical production conceived by Tina Landau, plus original songs byYolanda Adams, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, Jonathan Coulton, Alex Ebert of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, The Flaming Lips, Lady A, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T’s, They Might Be Giants, T.I., and songs by David Bowie, Tom Kenny & Andy Paley, with additional lyrics by Jonathan Coulton, and additional music by Tom Kitt with special arrangement through Concord Theatricals. Performed by Horlick Theater Arts students and sponsored by SC Johnson, Packy, the RCT friendly elephant mascot, will greet the audience at the performance. RCT shows are just over an hour in length, filled with imaginative fun, playful and interactive, and creatively engaging, making them great ways to introduce children to theatre and the arts, while creating new memories.
