"The Nutcracker" will be performed 7 p.m. Dec. 15 and Dec. 16 and 2 p.m. Dec. 16 and Dec. 17. "Inspired by E.T.A. Hoffmann's ‘Nutcracker and Mouse King’ and the iconic musical score of Peter Tchaikovsky, Artistic Director Eddy Bray takes the audience into the mysterious and kaleidoscopic world of childhood enchantment with fresh choreography, dazzling costumes, and captivating scene changes," according to a news release. More than 40 dancers will be featured in the holiday production. Main-Stage alum Brittney Maerker returns as the Snow Queen, and student dancer Sonja Hoverson takes center stage as the Sugar Plum Fairy. "Our talented dancers are ready to transport audiences to a magical world filled with wonder and joy. At Main-Stage, we’re not just dancers — we’re storytellers. We’re always on the lookout for ways to weave new magic into the production. I cherish discovering creative ways to incorporate hidden surprises during the performances," said Bray. Reserved seating tickets are $28 for adults (20 and older), $24 for youth (19 and younger), and $14 for lapsit (4 and younger). The Oconomowoc Arts Center is located at 641 E.
