Presented by the Friends of the Oak Creek Public Library, this lecture covers the history of romance novels. Learn about how they came to be, what we currently think of as a 'romance novel', different styles and sub-genres, the differences between American & British romances, and examples of authors from the start of the movement to modern day. The program includes time for questions and dramatic readings from both attendees and presenters. A small romance novel book sale will also be available for attendees to purchase books, if desired.
This program will take place in the Multi-purpose Room and is geared toward adults. Registration is recommended. Register by visiting oakcreeklibrary.org/events or over the phone by calling 414-766-7900.
